Olympian, Saminu Abdul Rasheed has criticised the Ministry of Sports for not giving them support in their quest to raise the flag of Ghana high through athletics.
Benjamin Azamati also quoted the post and stated the poor working conditions, which affect their work rate and rest schedule.

Ghanaian quartet Edwin Gadayi, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul, and Abdul Rasheed Saminu represented Ghana in Botswana.
They qualified for the World Championship with 38.09 seconds during the heated race.
After qualifying for Beijing 27, two of the Ateletes took to their social media to express their disinterest in the Sports Ministry for failing to provide their needs as other countries do for their representatives.

The main message from the runners is that they expect the ministry to replicate the treatment that the Black Stars are getting.
This is not the first time they have complained about a lack of financial support; they once revealed they fly with their own money to The Bahamas for training and Relays.

Saminu sacrificially stated that if they were to be part of the Black Stars of Ghana, their flight tickets would be ready a month before their tournament, but with them, they struggle to arrive on time since tickets are provided a day before the race.
Azamati urged the Ministry to do better because they are competing with guys who have rested for weeks, while they arrive a day before tournaments.
