Dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Junior, professionally known as Shatta Wale, has shared how he saved a substantial amount of money at the age of 14.

On countless occasions, the singer has made the public aware of how rich his father, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Senior, was when he was a kid.

His father was a well-known member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the democratic regime of Jerry John Rawlings.

According to Shatta, his father was very rich, so he did not give him money daily, but gave him huge sums to be used for weeks or months.

An old video of the entertainer has resurfaced on the internet, in which he revealed how he saved a huge amount of money at a young age.

Shatta Wale said in the video that at age 14, he had already saved money, which would be equivalent to 750,000 Ghana Cedis in modern day.

This statement has stirred different conversations, as most people thought he was from a poor background because of the lyrics in his songs.
