Outspoken broadcaster of Media General’s Onua TV, Captain Smart, has dropped a bombshell about how the EOCO boss tried to ruin Shatta Wale with a false allegation in 2025.
Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, was kept in the custody of the Economic and Organised Crime Office for his alleged involvement in the purchase of a stolen Yellow Lamborghini.

According to documents provided, the car is from a robbery scene in the United States of America, but the entertainer maintained his stance of being innocent since he bought the car from a dealer called Zak.
Reports later indicated that the car was purchased from Nana Kwabena Amuah.
Shatta Wale said he bought the car from the “streets”.

He was granted bail, but investigations continued.
In 2026, Captain Smart on his Onua Maakye Show exposed Raymond Acher, EOCO boss, for calling the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, to come and investigate Shatta Wale because he was reportedly on their radar.
The journalist backed his claim with documents from the FBI, which state how they started investigating the Ghanaian musician.

According to Smart, they set the singer up for unnecessary trolls without fact-checking to accurate information before the allegation, which almost tarnished Shatta’s image globally.
