You know, whenever someone asks for the “Top 10 Ghanaian actors in Hollywood,” it always feels a bit tricky.
The honest truth is that the list isn’t as long or as flashy as people expect. Ghana has plenty of talent, but Hollywood hasn’t exactly rolled out the red carpet with leading roles for many of them.

Still, a few names have carved out solid space for themselves over the years. Here’s at least 10 Ghanaian actors currently killing it in Hollywood.
1. Cynthia Addai-Robinson stands out the most. Born in London to a Ghanaian mother, she’s built a strong career with roles in Spartacus, Arrow (as Amanda Waller), The Boys, and more recently The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. She has this quiet intensity that makes her memorable.

2. Peter Mensah is another one who left a real mark. A lot of people still remember him as the tough, honorable Doctore (Oenomaus) in Spartacus.
Before that, he had scenes in 300 (that famous “This is Sparta!” moment), Avatar, The Incredible Hulk, and Gladiator II. His presence is hard to forget.
3. Boris Kodjoe is also a Ghanaian actor who had his biggest run in the 2000s with films like Brown Sugar, Soul Food, and the Resident Evil series. He’s got that classic leading-man look and has stayed working steadily.

4. Kofi Siriboe is probably the most relatable for younger audiences. He popped off after Girls Trip and showed real range in Queen Sugar. He’s got natural charm and seems like he’s still climbing.
5. David Gyasi is one of those actors who shows up in big projects like Interstellar and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and just delivers without making a big fuss about it.
6. Abraham Attah (who gave a heartbreaking performance in Beasts of No Nation as a kid) are still building their paths. He also made an appearance in one of the sequels of the Spider-Man franchise.

7. Eric Kofi-Abrefa is the recent breakout Ghanaian in Hollywood after his recent lead role in Supacell. Kofi previously appeared k Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Then you have solid supporting players like Ato Essandoh (Django Unchained, The Blacklist), Akosua Busia (who will always be remembered as Nettie in the original The Color Purple), and Hugh Quarshie, a veteran who’s been around forever, including a small role in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
