Asamoah Gyan is widely regarded as one of the richest ex-footballers, so people expect him to be happy all the time, but it seems life isn’t scripted, so rich men sometimes have problems money can’t solve, and one of these is Depression.

According to Baby Jet, after retirement, he sat back and reflected on so many things that happened before, during, and after his career, and concluded that some people did not treat him right.

He was not playing football to entertain people with his dribbles and enjoy the cheers from the stadium, so all these affected his mental health, as there was too much quietness in his home, so he resorted to overthinking.

Gyan said that before he experienced depression, he thought it was hearsay, but his experience made him believe it’s real.

The main motive of sharing this is to create awareness that mental health issues must be taken seriously as a country.

Depression can’t be measured, but to quantify how serious Gyan’s issue was, he said his comeback was harder than how he recovered from his trauma after missing the penalty against Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup.
