Former Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay, has shared a sad ordeal about how an industry player tried to sabotage her career at the very beginning.
In a recent interview with Kafui Dey, the songstress was asked about the struggles she faced at the start of her career, and she revealed a deep secret of how she was bullied by a key player in the Ghana music industry.
After the tragic passing of Ebony Reigns, the label wanted to replace her quickly to continue the project, and that’s how Bullet introduced Shay to Ghanaian music lovers.
Many female artists tried to replicate what Ebony did with her amazing talent, but without the necessary support, they all faded away.

Sabotaging in the industry is a bad thing, but over the years, talents have been victims of bullies in the music fraternity. Wendy Shay couldn’t dodge it as well.
According to the entertainer, she was sitting with her former Boss, Bullet, when he received a call from an industry player trying to discourage him from starting a project with her.

She disclosed that the person emphasised there will be no profit because she can’t fit into the industry.
When the call ended, she assured Bullet that they would make a good team, so he shouldn’t give up on her.

Wendy said the same person who tried to ruin the project later called her manager to say that she did nothing good, but Bullet deserves every accolade for the success.
